Dongxiao received her Ph.D. degree in Toxicology at Peking University, China. After completing her postdoctoral training in toxicology at University of Cincinnati, OH, she joined the Gerszten Lab as a research fellow in medicine, focusing on gene function studies in vascular disease using genetically modified animals and primary cells. Currently she is a research scientist, and her primary research involves metabolome-based post-GWAS functional characterization of risk loci and metabolites for cardiovascular disease and metabolic diseases such as diabetes, obesity and dyslipidemia.
